Welcome to SLSQ Point Danger Branch. Proudly supporting surf lifesaving on the southern Gold Coast since 1924.

SLSQ Point Danger Branch is the southernmost Branch of Surf Life Saving Queensland, proudly representing 11 Surf Life Saving Clubs from Tallebudgera to Rainbow Bay.

Established in 1924, Point Danger Branch has a proud and enduring history of volunteer surf lifesaving and community service. For more than 100 years, our Clubs and members have worked together to keep our beaches safe, develop the next generation of surf lifesavers and create strong, connected communities.

Today, the Branch plays an important role in supporting our Clubs and members across all areas of surf lifesaving — from lifesaving and education to Nippers, surf sports, administration, governance and member development.

Point Danger Branch exists to support our Clubs and the people who make surf lifesaving possible. From helping a new member gain their first qualification, to supporting Clubs with governance, education, competition and administration, the Branch provides the services, coordination and expertise our Clubs need to thrive.

Our Branch Office, located on Duringan Street at Currumbin, provides a central point of support for our Clubs, volunteers and members. We work alongside our Clubs to provide advice, coordination, training, resources and practical support to help them remain healthy, vibrant and sustainable.

At the heart of everything we do are our volunteers. They are the people who patrol our beaches, teach lifesaving skills, coach and compete, mentor young members, support their Clubs and give their time to help keep our communities safe.

Together, our Clubs and members are Point Danger Branch — a proud part of the Surf Life Saving Queensland family and a vital part of our local community.
